Alasdair Meldrum

Alasdair Meldrum leads MyBins Ltd with a focus on collaborating closely with local councils to gather accurate, council-specific waste service information for the MyBins app. His role ensures that the app remains a trusted and up-to-date resource for residents. Alasdair also drives the promotion of the app to the public, helping communities stay informed and engaged with their local waste services.
Alasdair is Chairman and Owner of Albion Environmental Ltd, a successful waste and environmental consultancy business. In 2022, he launched the first MyBins app for South Ayrshire Council. Building on this experience, he partnered with Alex to establish MyBins Ltd, expanding the service across the UK.
He is also co-host of the waste and resource management podcast RubbishTalk.
Alex Meldrum

Alex Meldrum is passionate about creating high-quality, user-focused digital experiences. As founder of ASM Development since 2003, he specializes in developing seamless web and mobile solutions that help businesses thrive online. Alex leads the development of the MyBins app, managing all aspects of Android and iOS approvals to ensure a smooth user experience across platforms.
Alex was the product designer for the initial versions of the MyBins app, successfully launched with South Ayrshire Council and Dundee City Council. Drawing on this experience, Alex has designed a UK-wide version of the app which will streamline council onboarding and enable the sharing of consistent national messages with the public.
With over two decades of expertise in web design, SEO, branding, and full-stack development, Alex combines technical skill with strategic insight to deliver intuitive, responsive, and user-centric digital products. His work spans a variety of industries, always with a focus on aligning design and functionality to client goals.
